I cannot remember when I started drawing.
As a kid I was always drawing cartoon characters and had a workbook that I would cover and fill with pictures from beginning to end.
Drawing is an important preliminary stage for my ideas.
The following are some course work projects. The shell studies are a series of sketches, which deal with contour, line and shape.
The other was to draw 20 self portraits, which I found an interesting exercise. Using different media, I discovered some pretty different personalities that appeared on the page in front of me!
